Hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers) with DIN rail mounting protect power lines in buildings and in electronic systems. They are typically used in low-voltage light industrial or commercial applications.
CBI-electric has gradually established itself as a supplier of hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers in marginal markets around the world. The roots of this manufacturer go back to 1949.
Miniature DIN-rail circuit breakers are most often single-phase devices and have a typical rated load current range of up to 100 A, with a maximum rated short circuit of 16 kA at 240 V. The manufacturer CBI, which we represent exclusively in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, has achieved an internationally recognised position as a supplier of reliable protection for the telecommunications, railway, and solar industries with its portfolio of MCB products.
Very compact CBI hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers for miniaturised wiring and various equipment protection applications. The Q-series frame by CBI consists of modular circuit breakers with rated currents of 0.1 – 250 A. The Q-series is available in single, double, triple, and quadruple pole configurations. The selected circuit breakers achieve a modular width of 13 mm instead of the traditional 18 mm, achieving space savings of more than 30% for the same cabinet size. Specially adapted busbars with a modular width of 13 mm are available in various configurations.

High DC voltages of 150-600 V DC are increasingly common in a wide range of systems. Until now, the problem has been to find a suitable MCB circuit breaker that could safely handle such high DC voltages. CBI has come up with a solution in its Y-series that is based on the proven hydraulic-magnetic principle as the other products. This means that the function of the circuit breakers is completely independent of the ambient temperature. The Y-series can cover 300 V DC in a single 13 mm module, and for applications requiring 400 or 600 V DC, factory-connected circuit breakers can be supplied in series that are 2x13 mm wide. With modular circuit breaker widths of 13 mm instead of the traditional 18 mm, you achieve space savings of more than 30% for the same cabinet size.
