Insulating tubes and protective braids play a key role in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems in train sets. In environments with constant vibration, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical stress, precise cable protection is a must.
Relats began operations in 1957 and employs more than 1,000 people in a total of 6 manufacturing plants worldwide.
Halogen-free, flame-retardant, silicone-coated glass-textile insulating tubes are the ideal solution for heavy-duty applications in rail technology. The practical self-closing variant allows easy retrofitting in already connected cable harnesses without the need to dismantle them.
Protective braided tubing made of polyamide or polyester fibers – available in monofilament, multifilament, or combinations – provides flexible and effective protection for cable harnesses. Thanks to the expandable design, they allow easy installation even on complex shaped cabling. For a higher level of protection, we also offer self-closing braids whose special structure perfectly covers and protects the entire harness. In addition, these braids can be easily retrofitted in already installed lines. Thanks to their high shape memory, they remain firmly sealed and can be equipped with integrated adhesive tape for even greater security.
