In some applications, the DIN rail concept is not suitable, hence the introduction of CBE (circuit breaker for equipment) products, which are developed for front mounting instead of a DIN rail. The CBE range of circuit breakers offers solutions from 0.05 A to 400 A. Like all other MCB solutions, the CBE range uses the hydraulic-magnetic principle. This means that you do not have to worry about high or low ambient temperatures. The circuit breaker will always maintain rated current without unwanted tripping, regardless of whether the temperature in your application is +85 or -40 °C. A unique property of all CBE series is the extremely good tolerance to shock and vibration compared to traditional DIN rail mounted MCBs.
CBI-electric has gradually established itself as a supplier of hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers in marginal markets around the world. The roots of this manufacturer go back to 1949.
The B-Frame range of circuit breakers is very compact but robust for constrained applications. They are available with different types of handles – crank, lever, push, protected, etc. The range is designed for telecommunications, lighting, railway signalling, and solar energy. Both single and double pole configurations are available for both AC and DC circuits.

The C-Frame series modular circuit breaker is primarily designed as a built-in equipment protector for rated currents from 0.05 to 50 A and in 1- to 6-pole configurations. Like other CBE products by CBI, the C-Frame series is made up of several different building blocks. Many combinations can be created to best suit your application. Circuit breakers are available with a wide selection of handles, terminals, colours, prints, auxiliary switches, alarm switch, etc. The most popular switch is a „Flush Rocker“, which is completely flat when the breaker is on to prevent accidental tripping. Equipment circuit breakers are used to protect control circuits in automation applications, construction equipment, office machines, communication and measurement equipment.

The DD-Frame is a compact but powerful circuit breaker with hydraulic-magnetic technology that makes it immune to ambient temperature. With a robust frame and the ability to withstand harsh environments, the DD-Frame series circuit breaker is used in military and railway applications and in renewable energy solutions to protect combiner boxes and battery storage. An auxiliary switch and a shut-down alarm are optional. In remote areas, and in locations with no easy access to the circuit breaker in the installation, remote actuator units RAUs (Remote Actuator Units) can be used to take your solution to the next level in terms of remote accessibility; they also allow you to dramatically reduce maintenance costs and system downtime.

T-Frame is a very compact hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker for AC and DC circuits. The mechanism of this series has been rotated 90 degrees to suit applications where the power distribution should be as thin as possible. Unlike other types of circuit breakers, the terminals are placed on the side to ensure minimum depth. The circuit breaker in this series is operated by the distinctive handle of CBI’s flush rocker, which is completely flat when the breaker is on to prevent accidental tripping. To further prevent accidental tripping, it can be supplied with a push-to-reset handle where a tool must be used to trip the breaker. The handle is available in several different colours.
