Today, modern trains are not just a means of transport. These are highly sophisticated systems that are constantly communicating with the outside world. And it is the railway antennas that make this communication possible, – whether it is the transfer of data between the train and the control centre, real-time monitoring of the technical condition of the trains, or the provision of reliable Wi-Fi connectivity for passengers.
The origin of HUBER and SUHNER dates back to 1864; the merger in 1968 created a company with a long tradition of innovation, maintaining its leadership in metallic, radio frequency, and optical connectivity for demanding applications.
Huber+Suhner has been developing and manufacturing omnidirectional, high-gain, multi-frequency antennas for rail vehicles for more than 25 years. In the field of rail vehicles, Huber+Suhner antennas are considered the benchmark and the direction of development. The initial SISO antennas were aimed at communication between the vehicle and the GSM-R network, for remote vehicle control, vehicle localisation using GPS. Current MIMO antennas already process signals across the frequency spectrum, i.e., 160 MHz to 7 GHz. We offer 2x2, 4x4 up to 8x8 MIMO antennas with GNSS capability in L1, L2, and L5 subbands.
